Several wonderful engine options are available for the 2021 Sonata, and which one you get depends on the trim level. The base SE comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes a whopping 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive. When you get to the SEL Plus trim you get a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. New to the Sonatas lineup this year is the N Line which comes with a robust turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder pumping out 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque which connects to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. You're never short of power with the 2021 Hyundai Sonata. 

Five trim levels are available for the 2021 Sonata and each comes with an impressive set of features. The base trim is the SE and it comes with LED headlights, an 8-inch touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Next up is the SEL which spices things up a bit with more luxury and tech features such as heated mirrors, a hands-free trunk opener, keyless entry and ignition, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and heated front seats. There are two packages available for the SEL. The Covienenca Package is worth getting as it comes with a digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, and a rear charge-only USB port. The Premium Package adds a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system. If your looking for more tech the SEL Plus has you covered with a Technology package with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, the Bose audio system, and a  panoramic sunroof. The Limited adds an automated remote parking system, a digital key feature, a surround-view parking camera, driver-seat memory settings, a head-up display, a power-adjustable passenger seat, and ventilated front seats. Last but not least is the N Line which unique 19-inch wheels, sport-tuned steering and suspension, and N Line specific styling details.

While there are several powerful engines and a ton of features, the 2021 Sonata is also one of the safest vehicles on the road.
