One of the most popular small SUVs on the market is the Hyundai Tucson and it is easy to see why! This two-row, five passenger SUV makes room for all your friends and their gear with ease, comes loaded with all the latest tech and safety features, and delivers some serious power. In the 2020 model year, Hyundai offers the Tucson in six trim levels. We are breaking them all down below to help you decide which one best meets your needs, so keep reading!
The Lineup:
SE: The Tucson lineup starts off with the entry-level SE trim level. Features for this trim include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a folding back seat with 60/40-split, 17-inch alloy wheels, a six-speaker sound system, a height-adjustable driver's seat, automatic headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen, and a USB port. The SE trim also comes with lane keeping assist and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking.
Value: Stepping up, drivers who choose the Value trim level will gain a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated mirrors, heated front seats, roof rails, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, satellite radio, and Hyundai's Blue LInk communication system.
SEL: Next up is the SEL trim level which comes with a second-row USB port, 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control with rear seat vents, and exterior styling enhancements.
Sport: After the SEL comes the Sport trim level. Hyundai outfits this trim with a hands-free liftgate, LED headlights and taillights, 19-inch wheels, wireless smartphone charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
Limited: The Tucson also comes in the Limited trim level which comes with all the features from the previous trims as well as leather upholstery, a 360-degree parking camera, a heated steering wheel, a power-adjustable front-passenger seat, and upgraded door trim.
Ultimate: The last Tucson trim level offered is the Ultimate. It comes with adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, an upgraded forward collision mitigation system, automatic high-beam headlights and wipers, an 8-inch touchscreen, heated rear seats, an upgraded driver information display, navigation, and ventilated front seats.
Powertrains:
There are two engines offered to power the Hyundai Tucson. The base engine, powering the SE and Value trims, is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 161 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. The SEL, Sport, and Limited models are powered by a 2.4-liter engine that generates 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Hyundai pairs both engines with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive while all-wheel drive is optional.
